Welcome
Welcome to the CRC Racers website
The main goal of the club is to HAVE FUN, if you are not there to have fun don’t come. The club does most the work and design with some help from volunteers. The city only mows and let us have the property till they need it. So we have to keep the place looking good, so if you race and make a mess please clean it up, if you do not and are seen you will be asked not to come back. The way we make improvements to the track is through donations, dues and race fees. So if you want things to get better please donate and/or race.
The most popular classes are the 1/8th scale truggies, buggies, monster trucks and 1/10th scale 2wd trucks.
We will try and do as many classes as the attendance will let us do. I would also like to have a novice class which is, race what you brought, it could be nitro vs electric, electric vs electric, or nitro vs nitro. Whatever it is to get new people out and racing so they could see how much fun it is to just race alongside other new racers.
The track itself is about 180’x 80’, has a long straight away, many jumps, and in some places technical sections. I know some want more jumps, some speed and some technical, but we make it for all the racers no matter what their skill level.
We do have a timing system, it is a little older and it uses house transponders that are body clipped to your vehicle. It keeps track of your laps, time of your laps and what is the finishing order.
Races are always on Sunday, (please check the calendar section for races and race day activities), and registration is between 9am-10am, please check out the fees and dues section on the home page for that info. Racing will start 10am (or close to); there will be 2-3 heats, (depending on how many entries there are, and how the races are going), and the mains will be anywhere from 15-45 min long, I always check with the racers and go with the consensus.
If you plan on racing, please bring a tent, chairs and a pit table to do your stuff on. Also, with a tent make sure you have a way of anchoring it down because it does get windy here and some tents do get moved around.
We will be getting some bleachers for people to come and watch restrooms and some new electrical outlets, when the chamber comes through for us. We do have a water outlet to let us water the track down and I furnish an air compressor for people to use to blow off their vehicles.
